When you first walk in, you're greeted by warm smiles and the cutest decorated cafe. They have excellent service and very friendly atmosphere! And when you come here, you MUST try the desserts. The dessert list changes so be sure to ask what desserts they have available. I had their French Apple Pie with Ice Cream and it was amazing!
I always eat at least one meal here when I'm in town and love the food and atmosphere. I do not live in Pikeville but come to Pikeville as part of my work for approximately three days out of the week. I am used to restaurants located in bigger cities such as Nashville, TN but I will take The Starling over them anytime. A very comfortable restaurant inside, I especially love the sidewalk seating area. As hot is it is outside, the natural shade from trees planted along the sidewalk, and persistent breeze has always made sitting outside my preference. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and they are there every day. As only owners can, they ensure quality service and quality meals. I highly recommend taking a detour to Pikeville for a good meal.
Fun place with great food and desserts. Wish it was open more hours but the personal service from from owners is exceptional.
